Jack Brooks is a dedicated therapist intern at The Start to Happy Foundation who brings a thoughtful, client-centered approach to his work. He is committed to creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences and work toward their goals. Because Jack is with The Start to Happy Foundation, he is able to offer sessions on a sliding scale basis.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or emotions that are difficult to manage? Are you going through a challenging relationship, family conflict, or major life transition and want someone to talk to who will listen without judging you? Perhaps past experiences continue to affect how you feel, respond, or connect with the people in your life.
You may know that something needs to change but feel unsure about where to begin. Therapy can provide a supportive place to make sense of what you are experiencing, better understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools to help you move forward.
Men and boys may find it especially difficult to talk about their emotions or ask for support. Jack offers a space where they can speak openly without feeling pressured, judged, or expected to have all the answers. He helps clients better understand the connections between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and life experiences.
For children and adolescents, Jack creates an environment where younger clients can feel respected, understood, and comfortable being themselves. He also works collaboratively with parents and caregivers to encourage healthier communication, stronger relationships, and meaningful changes at home.
Jack works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. With several years of experience in the mental health field, he brings a calm, warm, and down-to-earth presence to each session. He is genuine and approachable.
