Clinical Supervision

Supervision that takes your development seriously

For Associate MFTs and APCCs in California and Missouri

Becoming a licensed therapist is one of the most meaningful, and demanding, professional journeys you will undertake. The hours you accumulate matter, but the quality of supervision you receive shapes the kind of clinician you become. I offer individual and group supervision designed to help you grow with confidence, develop your clinical identity, and navigate the real complexity of this work.

Whether you are working toward licensure as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist or an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, supervision with me is a space where you can bring your hardest cases, your honest questions, and your genuine uncertainty, and be met with thoughtful, experienced guidance.

Dr. Wendy Boring-Bray, clinical supervisor

What supervision looks like

Case consultation grounded in real practice

We work through your actual caseload, not hypotheticals. You will leave each session with clearer clinical thinking, concrete next steps, and a deeper understanding of what is happening in the room with your clients.

A neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed lens

My clinical approach is rooted in neurodiversity-affirming care, trauma-informed practice, and evidence-based modalities including EMDR, psychodynamic, and CBT. Supervision reflects those values and helps you apply them with skill and intention.

Support for your professional identity

We will explore not just what you do in session, but who you are as a clinician. Developing a clear, grounded professional identity is foundational to doing this work sustainably and ethically.

Licensure requirements and documentation guidance

I help you stay on track with your hours, understand California BBS and Missouri licensing board requirements, and ensure your documentation reflects the quality of care you are providing.

About your supervisor

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Doctorate in Behavioral Health. I am also in dissertation for a doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D). I have spent my career working with a vast array of individuals in different settings including neurodivergent individuals, trauma survivors, couples, and families, children, and adolescents. I have also worked in academics as a professor and assistant director of a doctoral program. I bring that depth of experience into every supervisory relationship.

I know what it is like to be an early-career clinician trying to find your footing while managing a full caseload, navigating licensing requirements, and developing your own voice as a therapist. My goal is to offer the kind of supervision I had, honest, warm, clinically rigorous, and genuinely invested in your growth.

  • Doctorate in Behavioral Health (DBH)
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
