ADHD & Autism Assessment

Clarity changes everything.

For many people, a diagnosis doesn't arrive until adulthood, if it arrives at all. Years of struggling to focus, feeling overwhelmed in social situations, or simply sensing that your brain works differently can leave you exhausted, confused, and wondering why things that seem easy for others feel so hard for you.

A comprehensive psychological assessment can provide the answers you've been looking for. Understanding whether ADHD, autism, or both are part of your picture isn't about labeling yourself, it's about finally having an accurate map of how your mind works, so you can stop blaming yourself and start getting the right support.

Calm, focused assessment session

Who is assessment for?

Assessment is appropriate for children, adolescents, and adults who are seeking clarity about attention, learning, or neurodevelopmental differences. You may be a good candidate if:

  • You have always suspected you might have ADHD or autism but have never been formally evaluated
  • You were told as a child that you were "too smart" to have ADHD, or that you "didn't seem autistic"
  • You struggle with focus, organization, time management, or follow-through despite genuine effort
  • Social situations feel confusing, exhausting, or like you are always playing by rules no one explained to you
  • You experience sensory sensitivities that affect your daily life
  • A child or teen in your family is struggling at school, socially, or emotionally and you want answers
  • You want documentation to access accommodations at school or work
  • You are already in therapy but feel like something important hasn't been identified yet

What I assess

ADHD

I evaluate attention, executive function, impulsivity, and hyperactivity across settings and across the lifespan. ADHD looks different in women, girls, and adults than it does in the textbook, and I have been trained to know what to look for.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

I assess social communication, sensory processing, repetitive behaviors, and the ways autism may present in people who have learned to mask or compensate, including late-identified adults and women.

Co-occurring conditions

ADHD and autism frequently occur alongside anxiety, depression, learning differences, and trauma. Our assessment considers the full picture so nothing important gets missed.

What the process looks like

01

Initial consultation

I begin with a conversation about your history, your concerns, and what you are hoping to learn. This helps me design an assessment that is tailored to your specific questions.

02

Comprehensive evaluation

The evaluation includes clinical interviews, standardized testing, behavioral rating scales, and, where appropriate, input from family members, teachers, or other providers.

03

Feedback session

I walk you through your results in plain language. No jargon, no rushed handoff. You will leave with a clear understanding of what the findings mean for you.

04

Written report

You receive a detailed written report documenting the assessment findings, diagnosis where applicable, and specific recommendations for treatment, accommodations, and next steps.

Founder & Lead Therapist

I conduct all of the psychological assessments personally. I am a Registered Psychological Associate in the State of California (PSB94029445) under the supervision of Dr. Edward De Anda (33988). I bring a deep expertise in neurodivergent presentations across the lifespan, including ADHD and autism in women, girls, and adults who were missed or misdiagnosed earlier in life. My approach is thorough, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that every person deserves to understand how their own mind works. My son was diagnosed at almost 3 years old with autism, so I have had the privilege to raise a child with a different brain style than my two older children. It wasn't always easy, but I learned to navigate the world for my son, and realized the importance of an early diagnosis. I was diagnosed late in life with AuDHD, and after the formal testing I went through, I decided to go back to school for a second doctorate to help others go through the testing process. So, I can relate both personally and professionally to the swirl of feelings from being a parent with a child with ASD or ADHD to an adult just receiving an ADHD or ASD (or both, like me!) diagnosis.
