Child & Adolescent Therapy

A safe, supportive space for young people to grow, heal, and thrive.

Growing up is hard. For children, teens, and young adults between the ages of 5 and 25, life can feel overwhelming, whether they are navigating anxiety, struggling in school, processing trauma, or simply trying to figure out who they are. My team of therapists provide compassionate, developmentally informed care that meets young people exactly where they are.

What we help with

My therapy team works with children, teens, and young adults on a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Anxiety and worry
  • Depression and low mood
  • ADHD and attention difficulties
  • School stress and academic struggles
  • Social difficulties and peer relationships
  • Trauma and adverse childhood experiences
  • Behavioral challenges
  • Family conflict and transitions
  • Identity development and self-esteem
  • Grief and loss
  • Emotion regulation difficulties
  • Life transitions (divorce, moving, new school)

My approach

I believe every young person deserves to feel understood, not managed. The therapy team takes time to build genuine trust with each client, creating a space where children and teens feel comfortable being honest about what they are experiencing.

Sessions are tailored to each individual's developmental stage, communication style, and goals. All therapy sessions are drawn from evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based methods, always adapting to what works best for the young person in front of us.

Who we work with

Children (Ages 5–12)

Young children often express distress through behavior rather than words. The therapy team uses play-informed, creative approaches to help children feel safe, build emotional vocabulary, and develop coping skills they can carry with them.

Teens (Ages 13–17)

Adolescence brings intense change, socially, emotionally, and neurologically. The therapy team provides a non-judgmental space where teenagers can explore their experiences, work through difficult emotions, and build confidence in who they are becoming.

Young Adults (Ages 18–25)

The transition to adulthood is rarely straightforward. Whether navigating college, early careers, relationships, or a late diagnosis, young adults benefit from support that honors both their independence and the very real challenges of this life stage.

A note for parents and caregivers

Reaching out for support for your child takes courage. Here is what you can expect when you work with us:

Collaborative from the start

My therapy team involves parents and caregivers as partners in the therapeutic process. You will have regular opportunities to share observations, ask questions, and understand how therapy is progressing.

Age-appropriate confidentiality

All of us balance your child's need for a private, trusting space with your need to stay informed. We will be transparent about how we handle confidentiality and what we share with you.

Practical guidance for home

Therapy does not end when the session does. We offer parents concrete strategies and tools to support their child's growth between appointments.

Family sessions when helpful

When family dynamics are part of the picture, we can incorporate family sessions to improve communication and strengthen relationships at home.
